AHA!! she almost has to you trained! Has this made her happy? She ok if you leave your office?

Did pretty good today -- remembered to stop for diesel on way to work, so I will have plenty of tractor fuel tomorrow. Fast, heavy rain in afternoon today but window plastic was fine. 😁 So home all day tomorrow with no transportation. Pick up car 4:30ish. Going to bed early and HOPE I sleep. Leaving out 5 in morning. 😖. Chores after I get home about 6....right on time. Hope weather is good.
LOL - yep. I've left her for very short spells - out to the car, out to open/close the gates, drove to the maint shop to pickup paperwork - and she did well. There WILL be a safety meeting one afternoon soon & we never get any advance notice so I'll HAVE to leave her for an hour or so if she's with me that day. I just don't want to give my coworker a reason to complain. I've got a stash of benedryl here just in case....
I've got to get the tarp on the pen this afternoon if it's not raining so I can start leaving her in there for short spells. Maybe even feeding dinner in there once she stops being 'violent' .

On a good note - because my AC doesn't work when the car isn't moving, Birdie & I are taking a long walk at lunch and eating salads & chew bones in my office instead of sitting in the car eating Hardees burgers ... ❤️

How do you get your co-workers to TAKE the benadryl? Slip it in their coffee?

Up at 4:30, car to shop. DD had just gotten off work and was giving ride home. She was on nights this week to monitor resets in Lowes, where she's in mgmt...her turn😁. Off today, back on days Friday.

So today I'm home with no transportation....get car back this afternoon. Truck -- 🤬 -- but tractor ok & fueled up. I'm ready to put the bar on my new chainsaw. Will do some cutting later, some fence hot wire runs, mow a little after we dry off out there. VERY wet grass out there, complements of hard rain late yesterday. A soaker type.

After car gets home -- need to take door apart to get window back on it's track & disassemble rear light assembly to find bad bulb or wiring issue. It's what happens when we let them sit unused for 3 yrs.🙄

Otherwise, it's a perfect day! so far....

I try to freeze stuff - but somehow when I make enough for 4 we eat enough to not have enough to freeze.
The trick is to remove the portions you want to freeze first. I use a restaurant size ladle to measure into Ziploc bags that I put in a coffee can to hold them upright. Then serve dinner out of the remainder. There is usually enough for first and second helpings left after removing the freezer portions.

🤣 I know that. But when I’m dishing out I’m hungry and well you know how that goes! Kinda like shopping when you’re hungry.

Worked sheep this morning. Trimmed Eve’s feet, wormed her. Lucy slipped out because somebody forgot to close the end gate……. Oops. We’ll do her next week. Chase picked out a solid chocolate ram, exactly the one I had chosen for him. He’s still a baby, not weaned yet.
Took Carson, techs loved him, he made the vet laugh. He got his ears cleaned out, rabies shot, worm pill and we came home. Got worm pills for Anatolians-no more fighting to make them take the nasty Panacur liquid that splattered everywhere!
Got a round bale, sheep are on dry lot until we get rain. It’s dry, real dry.
Sheba was crying when I got home, she was so hot! Buford just goes swimming in the pond. They dove under the porch to get cool.

Hot. Dry. Awful.

Coffee is ready. Think I’ll go get treated 2x6 for the trailer floor this morning. Anything I have to do, I try to do it in the morning so I can be here in the afternoon for the dogs and sheep. 100F today.

Still on my first cup. Up at 5 am to say goodbye to DS1 who headed back to California this morning. The fence guys came in to work on the fencing and then after DS1 was gone another truck - some sort of small crane type - came in. Levi said they were going to set up the burn piles and start them burning. We have to check them tonight when the men leave. There are several. :fl
