Think I've gotten most the groceries we need for Thanksgiving, really not any extra effort for me, and saves my mom 2+ hours of driving.

Wow, they moved to "nowhere land". I'm spoiled with plenty of shopping 7 & 15 miles in either direction. If I want the big name stores, malls, etc, that's about 40 miles. I rarely go there yet, I live on a road that looks rural enough . Maybe that's why real estate assessments jump dramatically.

Definitely "nowhere land" for sure. There are two small restaurants and two gas stations within about 10 minutes, and a small grocery store about 30 minutes away. Otherwise, it is an hour or an hour and a half. Or to have everything, it is two hours. Really makes you plan out your town trips, and use the freezer. Very different from what we had, though we were so lucky to have our animals at home.

I'm an hour and a half to go grab a pack of smokes and hate that I'm to close to neighbors. I loved the old rental place. On a dead end dirt road. Here it's 8 miles to a paved road and a lot of people right next to me but after a mile you can go the next 8 in certain directions with only 0-3 houses depending on which route you take.

Coffee is ready! Funeral to go to this morning. A friend’s father died and it will be a graveside service. My son and I will go. My nephew, his wife and baby came in from Florida where he’s working. Since they are home, they will have a Thanksgiving dinner. Son and I will go to my sister’s for Thanksgiving lunch then to nephew’s for Thanksgiving supper. We will be fat as dog ticks! LOL He’s leaving to go back to south Louisiana on Saturday.

There's at least 1/2 pot that's FRESH, HOT and READY, had 2 cups but might have another seeing how I have a packed day- need to get sauce going for LASAGNA tomorrow, cook the hamburger and the sausage, make individual Pumpkin Pies, make individual Dutch Apple Pies, get the Lil Smokies wrapped with bacon.
Pics of mine and FH Christmas display we did ALL day Sunday. 2nd post will follow of more pics and the pie(s) I did on Monday.

The inside of the house SO FAR!!! On Monday I made Peanut Butter Pie (the big one is for tomorrow), 2nd pic is the layers of the third pic.

Wow! Girl you go all out on decorating! I don’t even put up a Christmas tree any more. We do all the Christmas stuff at my sister’s house.

60* out with rain, still....seems it won't leave. Was thought 10, now probably 1:00 ish. Steady coming down but not hard, all night. Guess we're getting 1.5 -2" when it finally blows out. I haven't been out to feed. Everyone staying in the barns, so I'll wait, too. . Needless to say, it's dark & gloomy.

Pretty much home all week. I WANT to be outside working. That's frustrating. Had a rest day yesterday, with rain -- I'm over it. . Sigh!

Better go easy on the coffee or I'll be pacing.

It wasn't all me though. FH was up and down the ladder hanging the lights while I did mostly the ground work. We even have tree up outside (refer to my first post of the day). I love the Holidays and bringing joy & happiness to others around me also.
Right now I have 24 MINI (individual) Pumpkin Pies in oven and going to get started on Dutch Apple Pie filling

I threw some laundry in when I got up this morning, went to the gym, and now just about to start packing to head out, and waiting for the laundry to finish.
Had some fun last night, a lot of people my age do a "Friendsgiving" and I have some great friends, but didn't feel like going through all the effort of doing that, so I got some frozen pies, and made some apple pie, and did some fun door knocking.
