Just got thru cutting a field, 3ac+/- It cooled nicely about 4pm, plus a little breeze, I went for it! Did some fence lines on 2 others 2 the drive thru ally down middle of all the pastures. Feel better -- even with 3x that to still do . Something accomplished AND I needed the tractor therapy. . Maybe I will do some tomorrow -- just move a job to Fri when it may rain.

In the early 80’s hoppers troubled parts of NE and KS. In the towns annoying hoppers. In the pastures a different insect but not reported about. Grasshoppers shifted gears to locusts. They ate things up and were learning to fly. What stopped them was they consumed all forage then started on each other. They extinguished themselves. Watch them hoppers.

Oh boy, stiff all over at get up . Did some slow stretches for a while, helped. I'd LOVE a hot tub right now, a massage, or such....alas, a hot shower will be close as I get. Having coffee and letting all these cranky nerves wake up!! I swear shoulders to ankles are complaining. I'll be good to go in half hour --- the mind sent a memo!! not a day off.

In middle of this a friend came to door -- knock, knock, goats are out in front yard. went out, opened a gate, called and they were back in. Whew!! That's why they are trained to come to call. Now go find the escape hatch. . BUT -- no longer stiff.

whata life. Now for a second cup....good morning farm!!

Sitting in er vet with Obi. He woke up on three legs. Won’t put weight on right front.
We’re supposed to leave for a wedding in CO tomorrow- I’m just sick over this. No coffee please.
No idea what is wrong, he’s shaking so probably in pain though no crying. He was fine last night. My vet is out of town.

@SageHill for Obi...hope it's a minor sprain.

I fixed their new fence hole ( old fence area on replacement list), separated bucklings in process...may add the dads to the group in a day or two. 10 days till auction for bucklings one less worry. Well, one is staying, a nice full blood Boer, will keep a while. Decide later on sale or keeper. After boys at auction, doelings will get weaned. Couple may go to auction.

Work scheduled for today is a no go, too late...rescheduled. get some lunch, the go mow.

Obi update - there is an infection in the joint. Getting antibiotics and he’ll have a joint tap to have a better antibiotic rx if/as needed. That result can take 3-5 days.
