Windy Santa Anas today. We've been lucky so far and our power hasn't been turned off. Can't say the same for the rest of town or the big town to the south of us (including stores and schools). Should end sometime today/tonight I think. You all will laugh - but the wind chill makes it feel like 48 brrrrrrr. Yeah weather wimp!

Gotta love it! 😄. Let me say this...if she slips just a little, your looking at a broken leg. It gets caught in the fence. Sadly, experience here. I have an 8" extension, with a white hot wire tape on it. It's not hot but, stopped the jumping. Height perception. Often it's only at one area. 🤷 Twist the tape slightly, so an slight movement makes the item sight disruptive for them and try running along that side first.

Got almost 2" yesterday, during daylight. Overall I had right at 3.5" fall at the farm. Rain was needed, so not complaining. And, it was really warm all day. Winds were howling. Stayed home, so today I have to go to work. But I accomplished the turkey carcass clean up...sliced, chunked, broth still simmering. It was a good day for it. I'll can broth tomorrow.

It's early, dark, waking time. Fresh coffee. Need breakfast. Make lunch to go. Then daylight & feed chores...head to work. 🤷 Life goes on. I need some excitement 😁

It's 10°F here this morning going for a high of 30°F. Going to add another strand of hot wire for the pigs since the bottom strand is almost buried in snow and just move the energized wire to it off the bottom strand.

I’m real happy for you, but you can keep the cold! What a change, from Beaumont, Texas, right on the Gulf of Mexico to Montana! You are tougher than I am. I’ll just keep my wimpy little self right here in East Texas. If I ever get up to Montana, you can bet it will be in the heat of summer. What DAY do you celebrate summer?

44 going to 63 total. Now that’s what I want!
Going to set up some panels to weigh the sheep today and whatever else I need to do while they are in chutes. Need to get those hooves done soon - but that’s a different set up.
One more coffee and I’m out the door.

Really balmy weather here, up a few degrees from this morning. Was 23 with a windchill of 13. But that's December in Wyoming. At least we only have a small handful of days where we go below 0.
Honestly just odds and ends happening here. Leaving for Christmas then an internship next week, need to clean my stuff and start packing soon.
Think I will treat myself to a run tonight too, been resting this week.

A skiff of snow across the ranch. Much more on the mountain. ⛰️ I don’t want to move due to early onset rigormortis, I believe. ( yes, that is self diagnosis)
Got to finish the dress today. I hope.
TheMan is in pain and I feel awful for him. 😞
