You have landed in Heaven on earth!
Congrats, go slow and enjoy 😊
Thank you! It is such a perfect location and will feel more like home for the horses with only a little work.

Looks really nice. The "kids" look like they were enjoying the pastures. hope you get settled in and get things situated the way you want.... able to make the barn workable for your animals too...
Congrats on the move.
Thank you! They do love being able to run! It's one open pasture, about 3 acres. Some hills too which is great for conditioning.

Is your dog a collie or a Sheltie? (My first instinct says collie.)
He is a Heritage Scotch Collie. The best farm dog!

Some of the projects I've gotten done so far.

Remember me? It's been awhile lol. Where do I begin? This place is truly wonderful and seems to be more beautiful all the time. It is slowly getting to be functional as a training facility as well.
Since I'm limited to 10 photos I will have to break this into several posts.

My future dressage and cones arena. Both events are held on grass so this is valuable training.

My first glimpse of Shaker Village...a place we have already spent much time in without beginning to explore all that it has to offer, including the miles of carriage friendly trails!

Wonderful to see it. I assume that the traffic is more "horse wise" there and that even on the "curvier" roads it is not something you have to panic over someone trying to run you over.
So glad to see you out and about with the driving.
Well it's Kentucky and as a friend told us years ago, stop signs, parking lines, etc. are merely advisory. But they are good drivers and on most roads it's fine because they are good roads! I feel much better than I did in all of the hectic Arkansas traffic with highways and roundabouts everywhere. But on the Kentucky pikes with no shoulder, you have a very real chance of death when those dually trucks come barreling around. That is why we don't live on one! Most are small roads that can be avoided. And Lexington is quite hectic because of overcrowding. But on a whole it is as safe as anywhere else, our road is quiet enough to drive horses on and you see plenty of farm equipment on the US highways.

Continuing with photos. We are so happy to live here!
