Is some of your family still in VT? I think you went up for the fair last year. Have they had any major problems with the excessive rain? Pictures are pretty bad.

Most of my family is outside the major flooding areas. From what I’ve heard worst flooding is in central VT - Montpelier, Quechee, Barre, etc… a section of I-89 is completely closed. I have a friend stuck at a rest stop in Berlin. I’m sure he’s having the time of his life though.

They’re saying this is the highest the Winooski River has been since 1920-something. The damage is worse than hurricane Irene and that was catastrophic.

Sheared a few more lambs this afternoon. I think I’m just over half way through. They’ve been remarkably well behaved so far. Usually lambs are a pain to shear due to dramatics. The most dramatic so far has been Lizzie. 🤣

Lisle is one of my Border Leicester ewes that I’m listing for sale. I did a rough fit job on her before shearing her completely. I’m a bit rusty, but I think her trim looks pretty good for a 10 minute job.

She’s a nice little ewe. I’ve got 2 more big girls like her. The one I’m keeping is probably the nicest of the 3.

Remember the lamb that got stuck in the sinkhole a couple months ago? I sheared her today and her fleece was still full of mud. She looks really nice under her fleece.

Lisle is a pretty ewe, you did a good fitting on her. Her wool has lots of crimp, is it soft?

That fleece is so dirty! Wow, no way to clean that up! I bet that dulled your shears!

The kitten is so cute. She is one lucky kitty to have you as her momma!

I drove 4hrs away to TN today to pick up this sweet girl. She’ll be traveling the rest of the way to my parents in VT with my sister next week.

She’s 6 months old and is a complete sweetheart. Not much has phased her and she thinks that everyone is her friend.
