Yup. Plus the people that are dragging my name through the mud to/with their several thousand followers have succeeded in casting even more of a shadow on their herds both for behavior and diseases and are inadvertently warning others of the plague they might be (liability limiting here) unleashing better than I ever could or would want to. They and especially their followers will wind up getting their just deserts without my help and they have been warned now.

Unfortunately I've been contacted by people who have gotten positive animals from them now. Turns out they got roasted publicly like I did when they brought it up. I wound up better off than they did in that I didn't have to deal with sick animals and my herd slowly turning up positive WHILE I was being roasted and dragged through the mud. Yuck. And all this had all taken place in less than a hand's fingers worth of years because that witch is fairly new to goats...I am DONE buying goats down here for sure. The more common methods of "liquidating " diseased caprine assets here by show breeders appear to be repulsive. And the herd that is staging the stoning of me has shade being cast on them for other diseases as well...I really didn't want to be told any of this. I feel horrible for the other owners of sick or exposed goats, but...well, I guess I was right?I'm not really hurting their reputation at all. They already had a bad one and they like to run around and intimidate and harass their victims into silence to keep quiet. I just should have let that guy push that lady's goat for sale and let his herd go on my black list too and not sent him a "private" communication that he and his friends could pass it around and publish and decide how to punish me.

So now, before I get told anything else or get any more threatening messages or pages with any more thousands of followers dragging my name the the mud I'm deactivating my fb for a while and I may go dormant here too in case someone comes here and opts to go after me. I'll be reading journals but I don't know if I'll be posting anything until kidding season anyway. See you in Jan/Feb unless I pipe up on your journals.
OH man I SOOO get you. For similar reasons - though mine weren't animal related I dropped FB like a hot potato. Hated losing that constant contact with friends, but the hate and keyboard warrior righteousness and the gods of FB I couldn't take it any longer - wasn't worth the high blood pressure and loss of enjoyment of life. A tough step to take but a good one that was needed.
Don't go dormant or at least dormant too long here. I and I speak for all of us (I'm pretty sure) enjoy your posts, and feel the same way you do about the rotten people out there - most of us have been burned by similar. And if anyone comes here and tries to drag you through the mud they've walked in the hornets nest as we are all on your side and will stand up for you. Hang in there - here you are among friends.

Absolutely agree with above posts! Stick with us, we love you. Mean people trying to trash you will be warned off by the site manager.

I don't do Facebook - couldn't get the hang of it. The one tie I tried to do respond to DD1 on her Facebook page she got mad and said that I posted a comment (innocuous) that should have been private on her public comment section??? No idea what she meant so stopped using it. No longer remember the password to DH's Facebook account anyway. LOL DS1 set it up for him but he couldn't figure out how to use it either. :old :gig

I'm on FB all the time.. but have become a master of the 'smile & scroll'.. There is litterally no one on facebook that NEEDS my advice, or me to correct what they are doing, and certainly not a single person who needs my opinon about what they've posted. If I don't like it, I just scroll on to the next thing that I DO like.

But seriously, here in BYH you are in a safe space. Not only are the people here wonderfully supportive and eager to offer useful and intelligent advice; but we will defend our members against bullies!

Yeah, I agree with the others. FB bad, BYH good.

I just can’t see anyone coming on here and getting away with any bullying. That wouldn’t fly. But maybe, if any of the FB jerks even bothered to find you on here (if they could), they might look around and read posts and learn stuff.

And, if anyone came here looking for you, they would have to read your content to figure out
It’s you, right? Well they can pick any page of your journal and start reading and pretty quickly they will see that you are a nice person.

I think instead of lying low on BYH, you should just drop the subject of the FB disease lady and continue on posting your normal journal stuff. Then these last couple pages will get buried behind regular cheerful stuff and be harder to find.

Plus, we don’t want to lose you. Gosh, we just finally got Alaskan back. We miss our friends when they go silent.
