Chillin' with the herd
I had written in the feed section of this forum, and I wanted to give an update. I got a baby girl and a baby boy weaned and were already eating on their own.
I know I said I would get a wether but I went ahead and got a male intact and was told I could go back and get him a companion in 2 weeks so when he becomes of age he can go into his own place with his companion and not feel lonely. So I will get 2 more in 2 weeks, another female and a male who is fixed.
The 2 new babies names are Malina and Kuzco from the cartoon of course lol I have kids and they thought this would fit and so far it has.
But Kuzco is living up to his character he is totally greedy and doesn't let the little girl have much of the feed. Starting today we fed them apart to make sure she got all she needed.
From the stress of leaving her flock, and coming to a new home she lost some weight which had me worried.
The boy has gorged him self he is a little fatty and eats everything insight.
This is Kuzco
This is Malina
This is the very day we got them home so she still has a tummy on her.
But now we have had them exactly 7 days and she has lost some of that over 6 days but Sunday we fixed that problem.
Kuzco I was told is Nubian Cross Boer, and Malina is Nubian Cross Alpine.
I think both are very beautiful but Malina is a little skittish while Kuzco is extremely friendly. He will not go any where without her he has to be in eye sight of her at all time both cry if they cant see each other.
But they are both a complete joy to watch.
