If she's not allowed to round up without command to do, she'll learn to only assist when asked. Probably walking her with you, in the field with the cows will get her to understand "only" when told. 👍

I love it!! Now that she accepted it's her home and you return, I'm seeing other possibilities for her to help you. 🥰

I'm gonna stop on the way home and get some Ritz crackers so I can have a couple of teeny little tomato sandwiches!!! 🤣

Seriously though - who's got a favorite method to save seeds? This is one TOUGH little bugger to have grown out of pavement, all through June's blistering heat, with no water.

LOL!! I've had gardens that produced that same amount!
I totally LOVE your story about Birdie. I know I've said it before, but Boxers can be fabulous herders. While they are in the Working group in AKC, they are allowed to compete in AKC Herding Trials. Mostly due to the efforts of a gal named Reegan and her Boxer Pip. Pip was the first Boxer in the US to do herding trials. Add to that her owner was a newbie to herding so that says a lot. At the same time up in Canada a Boxer named George was doing the same. I knew both dogs and their owners. Pip lived down here so I saw a lot of her and worked with her as well. I've got pics of her working cattle and I've been scouring my computer trying to find some of them - but days later I still haven't found them (driving me nuts too -- it's several computers and many iterations of software later and I'm pretty sure it would be pre-2011) I shot pro back then so the numbers of photos are mind-blowing.
But - I figured you might enjoy these of Pip and Pip and her pups.

The next two photos were hung at the Boxer booth at the big Crufts dogs how in the UK

So...tomato seeds. I put onto a paper plate, slime and all, let sit to dry. They may get a little mold or white slime form. It's ok. Tomatoes like a touch of ferment for seed preservation. When they get drying, you can spread out more. When dry put into a paper envelope....can peel off the dried extra or not. Write on envelope what it is & date. 😱 Oh, how many pepper seeds I've forgotten to do that and don't know if red, green, orange ones 🤣

You're good....but, I'd use a different location 2024 for a better yield. 🤣🤣😁👍😂

@SageHill your pic makes that puppy look like a pro😁

@Mini Horses I actually WANT to grow this size tomatoes next season to do a lot of roasted tomato recipies. I was thinking that I'd have to do some checking around but if this little guy can successfully provide me some seeds... :thumbsup

Watch.. with my luck, I'll put this little trooper's seeds into some GOOD soil and it'll turn out that he's a stunted Mortgage Lifter or some other HUGE slicing tomato! 🤣

:D =D genetics :) she (the pup - Winifred) did turn into a pro, got lots of titles, though she was a bit hard headed compared to her mom, and doubled the hard headedness up in her litter. Solid working dogs from that second generation - but more working and bite - so they did other sports. Lots of Boxers out here herding - all because of Pip related or not. :)
