Thanks,
I look scrawny with a shirt on and most think gym muscle when I take shirt off, they have no idea what's packing and it isn't just surface muscle, it's core muscle too. That transmission weighs 690 lbs, it ain't rolling up to the engine by itself especially on plywood that isn't level, once you got it lined up stabbing it in place is next fun.
Line it up perfect or it ain't going.
Ended up changing both differentials out too while down there for better climbing ratio. That's what picture 3, 4, 5 and 6 are about. Was using the backhoe to stab the new ones in

Back in 2011 lost a throw out bearing in the Northern California mountains in my F450 pulling a 40’ shipping container full of stuff. Limped it to nearest Harbor Freight parking lot bought a motorcycle jack and limped it to nearest gas station. Started dropping it in the parking lot, someone drove up and asked if I was doing what he thinks I was doing, and I said yes sir I am thinking it was the owner. My son was with me 6 years old at the time. Found out it was just some guy wanting to let his dogs run loose, he asked my son if he wanted a ice cream and if I wanted a beer, he went and paid for it for us and said if I needed any help here is his number.
Had to change out the slave cylinder too, but he gave us a ride to auto parts store next day. Afterwards got transmission up by myself and such installed and he gave us a lunch to go and in the plate was two muscle relaxers, he said you might need those, :gig

I have no idea what all those greasy mechanical things are, but certainly admire you for knowing how to put them together.

DH used to do all our automobile repairs himself 50 years ago until the cars went to all the computerized stuff. I used to be his gofer - hand me this, hand me that. I learned about tools fast. LOL

Don't lose track of that C++. It's a good base level programming language to code in and they're always trying to keep it from going obsolete and updating it and always trying to make it safer so it changes. DH says the C++ he was taught in school is different from the C++ 15-20 yrs later but it's still being used and hasn't been replaced and it sounds like it won't be.

Ha - so true, but then I was an assembly level programmer/engineer. Hates Fortran and the horrid Cobal. C (just C no plusses) came out years into my working life. Punch cards and paper tape when I started. 🤪😳

Caught the "since we own a quarry now"....Did you buy that piece of land with the rock quarry on it ?????

Your ability to "know " all this makes you qualify for the "brainiac" term....

Like the idea of "Weldman's Services" and listing some of the things you do under that heading...
You ARE providing services...

Hmmmm, outside person pisses off the wife, and then she goes in the direction you wanted... Well, congrats on the purchase... I know you were thinking pros and cons, but this will give you the control, and then can do with it as you see fit pretty much... yeah, some permits and such... maybe not so much for local/for cash type of work... you are probably pretty well schooled in things done under the table or on barter... but also more control of the area....
How does this lay with the "JERK" female neighbor???? Can you get around her now with another road of your own? Keep the right of way, but not have to drive "on her property" so she claims? Maybe she will choke on her animosity....

This drew a "Wow" from DH. if there was a BYH bbq he'd enjoy hearing about things-you'd probably get a celebrity interview.

It's too bad the nasty neighbor situation doesn't resolve if she ticks off the wife.
