Since I felt tiny one needed more -- she's 3.5# and sister is 8 -- I took a bottle, milked from mom into bottle, then fed to baby. Couple oz beyond what she'd nursed. Will repeat later today. She is so small. . Like one & a half kids.

I know nothing about breeding of goats - but do know about dogs (a lot) could she have been conceived a few days later that her sib? That does happen in dogs and the little ones are just a few days behind.

It could happen. Sperm and egg can live a little longer than a few hrs...several days, actually. Then it is not impossible -- tho unlikely, she was conceived at next cycle making her close to 3 weeks later. She has teeth thru gums but not as much as sibling. Whatever the deal, I hope extra feedings help. She IS nursing but, not long and it's a stretch to reach the spigot. Keeping moms milk in her so she smells ok to nurse. Hope she makes it, never know until ....

I have triplets, I bottle fed the smallest and weakest. Today she is the same as her sisters. With the extra love and care, plus being with Mom, I see good things ahead for this little one.

Well, not as optimistic. She's inside, heating pad, weak heartbeat & shallow breathing. Honestly, I'm comfortable this IS a premie and just all screams it. Soft, short, fur like hair. Teeth...most just under skin, tiny thing. Not suckling now. Sadly, don't think she can survive no matter what I do. But still doing all that can be done. Believe she will drift away quietly. . But loved while here. Things happen.
