Coffee anyone ?

Well over 70 degrees today... below freezing tomorrow night.. yeah "Spring" in VA
3-day weekend for me

Will I use it productively or Veg on the sofa binge watching some netflix series - only the power of coffee can tell.

Though lamb aggression is not in that category. Typically it's usually the stop or a flank that a short reminder is needed. I haven't had one yet (knock on wood) that has backslid that way. With my lambs Obi will shoulder them
if needed to get them where they need to be or to stop an escape.

Some dogs just know how to be more gentle with ewes and lambs. Others are more aggressive. Usually cattle breeds are more aggressive.

While not Netflix (Amazon Prime) Clarkson's Farm --- it's a gotta watch and now in it's second season. Totally hilarious - esp for folks like us.

Yup. I've been very lucky? Or perhaps it's genetics - all my dogs have always been good with lambs. They are so curious about them and want to be their friends. Even now with the lambs 4 months old Obi is super sweet - though he will shoulder them back into the flock if they stray. The Tervs were that way, and now the Laeken are as well - though I did not breed them they are from the same breeder.

Leo is part Catahoula Leopard Hound based on a neighbor’s um testimony. He definitely drives and has a hound dog yodel. I think the move to a bigger more wild property has encouraged some orneriness. If anyone wants to opine about his breeding go ahead. Catahoula x God only knows? Blue Heeler and something? Where did that Tail come from? (He has quite the curled tail).

Well both are lovely to look at! Speaking of tails -- the lamb has a white tail in the center of a black butt. Eye candy spotted.

I’m going to the Sheriffs Breakfast this morning. First one I’ve been able to go to this school year. He runs them through the school year. Breakfast is free, please make a donation. If you are hungry and broke, come eat anyway. At the end of the school year, the money is divided up into scholarships for a trade school. Last year, 11 students applied and each got a $1000 scholarship. The Sheriff does this once a month. Every month so far, something has come up that I couldn’t go. From knee replacement surgery to vacation to being sick, you name it. But I’m going this morning! If y’all are on Facebook, look up Trinity County Sheriff Woody Wallace. This guy is a hoot!
