Horrible day for me and my family. My 7 year old GSD passed away during the night. My son woke us up at 4am to tell us that he found him. He was fine, running around like a normal dog, then last night he vomited (Not unusual for him-he always had 2 meals because empty stomachs made him throw up) my son gave him a little water and brought the golden into another room to let him be. He went to check on him and found him. I think it was bloat, but my son blames himself. Odin was a perfect dog, gentle and soft tempered like most long haired GSDs. I'm a mess, as are my family.
I'm having a post-mortem done to show my son it was not his fault, and there was nothing that could have been done.
I'll miss him so terribly. I can't imagine a day without him.

🦕🦕🦖🦖🦖Dinosaurs I tell ya' . Even I have come to the conclusion that this is how things were when dinos walked the land. The ground is vibrating, the trees rustle then fall, and the sound - the SOUND - a growl, a whine and a cry. Perhaps this is where they got the sound effects and ideas for Jurassic Park. :idunno

At any rate - the sheep are very unhappy and believe the dinosaurs have arrived. Today is day three and the first day they aren't happy. Didn't want to come out of the barn, then didn't want to go into the barn. I'm letting them make their own decision - go in, go out, do what you want - with the option I hope they won't do anything too crazy.
On the not so plus, plus side - the bare ground is pretty in that it shows a gentle (gentle for here) rolling topography (but I knew that, just couldn't see it) and since its to the east perhaps we'll catch a sunrise?? Though the hills may block that.
